SUNGO Energy Smart Solar Power Optimisers Put To The Test
Two virtually identical sections of 143 PV panels, at the Gunma Solar PV project in Japan were selected for this side-by-side performance test. One section was fitted with SUNGO Energy’s Smart Solar Power Optimisers, the other section was not. The monthly energy generation of the optimised and non-optimised sections was measured from September 2020 to August 2021 and showed a peak monthly performance improvement of 26.74% and an average increase in energy generation of 17.34% over the 12-month test.
These results are typical of SUNGO Energy highly cost-effective smart solar optimisers, which have been proven to deliver up to 30% improvement in energy generation across the 2GW of installed optimiser capacity in over 30 countries. Read More...
Comparison of Leading Solar Optimiser Brands.
Solar optimisers are an essential component in modern solar energy systems, ensuring that each individual PV panel operates at its maximum efficiency, even if the performance of one or more modules within the string is compromised. With several manufacturers in the market, including SolarEdge, Tigo Energy and SUNGO Energy, it can be challenging to determine which optimiser is best for your needs.
This article provides a side-by-side comparison of these leading brands, based on publicly available product documentation and various independently published reports & reviews to highlight their strengths and weaknesses based on key criteria.. Read More...

Understanding Solar Optimisers:
What They Are and Why You Need Them
As solar energy continues to gain momentum in the UK, the importance of optimising solar panel efficiency has never been more critical. Solar optimisers are pivotal to achieving this and offer significant advantages that make them indispensable for modern solar energy systems.
This article delves into what solar optimisers are, why they are essential, and the current trends driving their adoption, focusing on the broader industry with references to leading brands such as SUNGO Energy.
Rapid Shutdown for PV Solar Systems: Ensuring Safety & Regulatory Compliance
One critical safety feature in modern solar installations is the rapid shutdown mechanism. This system ensures that PV systems can be quickly de-energized in the event of an emergency, such as a fire or electrical fault. Beyond safety, rapid shutdown is also essential for regulatory compliance, as it meets the standards set by various authorities.
SUNGO Energy has always invested heavily in R&D and has developed advanced rapid shutdown technologies which are built into its intelligent solar power optimiser range and used in over 30 countries.
